School Closure – January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you may be aware, the Prime Minister has ordered a national lockdown and schools will be closed for at least the next term.

Therefore, we will be moving to our Remote Learning Plan from Wednesday 6th January.  Work for your child will be uploaded to their Google Classroom account by the end of Tuesday 5th January.  A copy of our Remote Learning Plan is on the home screen of the school website. (North Road Remote Learning Plan )Tomorrow, you will also receive a letter from your child’s class teacher with details about remote face to face sessions.

Please email school, as soon as possible, if you believe yourself to be an eligible key worker who would be unable, due to critical front line work, to keep your child at home.  Please also include a scanned copy of the letter of confirmation from your employer stating your role in the front line fight against Covid. The link below clarifies the categories considered by the Government to be front line critical keyworkers.

For health and safety reasons, remote learning is considered to be the safest option for both pupils and staff and so keyworker provision is only to be requested by parents who have no other safe option.

I will update you as soon as I have any additional information.

Please stay safe and look after yourselves. We have been through these difficulties before and together we will rise to any challenges and support each other until we can be back together again.

Thank you once again for your support.

Kind regards,

Mrs S Stillie and the staff of North Road Community Primary School.

Reception 2021

At present, we are unable to provide our usual small group personalised visits to North Road Primary School due to the COVID safety restrictions in place.

Our virtual tour will give you an introduction to our school community and the prospectus will provide you with more information about our unique and special small school.

Please do also explore our website and take a look at our Twitter Feed.  These will give you a feel for our school and you will be able to see the super teaching and learning opportunities that the children are currently taking part in.

As soon as we are able to offer open afternoons or visits to school, we will advertise them on our website.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to email us or give us a call at school.  We pride ourselves on being an approachable, family feel school and we are more than happy to answer any specific questions that you might have.
